Expert Rigging
← Tree Work · Canopy Work
Controlled lowering of limbs and sections to protect your property.

What it is
Rigging uses ropes, pulleys, friction devices, and anchor points to lower limbs and wood in a controlled way rather than dropping them.
When it makes sense
Work over homes, gardens, septic fields, fences, and other trees where a free drop would cause damage.
How we do it
- Plan the load: estimate weight, choose the anchor, and stay within the working load limits of the gear.
- Inspect rope and hardware before use and retire anything that fails inspection.
- Keep clear communication and a marked drop zone.
- Protect lawns, root zones, and structures below.
Standards we follow
- ANSI Z133 Safety Requirements for Arboricultural Operations
- ANSI A300 Pruning standard
Good to know
ANSI Z133 is the safety standard for arboricultural operations in the United States, and ISA serves as its secretariat. It covers rigging, climbing, aerial lifts, and chipper operations.
